We are Pedro Palmer and Manuel Barber, two young Balearic entrepreneurs who have decided to transform our passion for the sea into an innovative business project. At 27 and 23 years old respectively, we have founded Naizur, our company specializing in luxury yacht charters that has sealed an important strategic agreement with Kumbra Yachts this year.
We created Naizur with a dream: to share with our clients the same experiences that we enjoyed since childhood sailing with our families. We offer an extremely professional service not only in charter but also in yacht management and sales, including personalized maintenance.
It all began in 2020, during the pandemic. Pedro, then working in Norway, saw the opportunity to start a business in his native Mallorca. "I took advantage of a rather abandoned family boat in the port of Can Picafort to restore it and dedicate it to tourist charters," he recalls. In 2022, we incorporated Menorca into our business plan when Manuel joined the adventure, seeing in his native island an emerging market with great potential.
"The tourism we promote is for families who come to discover our islands, clients who trust local professionals who know the territory better than anyone," explains Pedro. We have coined the concept of "luxury without rigidity," because for us true luxury is offering exclusive experiences where our clients enjoy unique moments in privileged environments.
Unlike the mass tourism that has affected some areas of Mallorca, we are committed to a sustainable and respectful model. We are also developing this same approach in other destinations such as Indonesia and Bali, where Pedro maintains investments in the tourism sector.
The recent alliance with Kumbra Yachts, whose CEO Víctor Moure was Manuel's rival in sailing competitions before forging a friendship, marks a turning point for our company. "Next week we will receive our first Kumbra in Palma and we will be present at our first edition of the Palma International Boat Show," we share with enthusiasm.
We have offices in the Santa Catalina neighborhood in Palma and we are responsible for the nautical experiences of The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort, with a presence within the hotel itself. Our participation in the Palma Boat Show (April 30 - May 3)
represents an important milestone for us. We invite you to visit us at stand B35.1, where we will exhibit our first boat and offer sea trials.
As a mechanical engineer with international experience and former member of the Spanish sailing team respectively, we recognize the challenges of being young in a sector traditionally dominated by established companies.
"With the arrival of technologies, many things were becoming obsolete and evolution and new blood are required," we reflect. Our specialized focus on luxury charters, combined with discipline and dedication, is bearing fruit in a market that demands renewal.
Our short-term goal is to position Kumbra boats in both charter and sales, offering personalized, high-quality products made in Spain. We have a clear commitment: to grow sustainably while respecting the natural environment of our beloved Balearic Islands.
